BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Beside grass pathway, Richmond Park

This pedestal was originally 40’ further south since c. 1958, in front of Thatched Lodge. The dial then, a) (Flikr/Standhisround) had what may have been a heraldic dolphin decorating the gnomon. What happened to that dial is unknown. The modern replacement, dated 25th December 2022, appears well-made but owes more to the garden centre than the previous dial. It has been fixed down with more than ordinary care.
