Date scale around horizon circle, JAN - DEC, divided to days. Ecliptics shown dotted, labelled zodiac signs (Aries at E.). Correction graph for EoT + longitude, -10, 0, 10, 20 mins, radial layout, individual days. Compass rose 16 point, labelled. Coat of arms for St Hugh’s College at S with motto "FIDELITAS". Initials "JD" (J Davis, projection delineation) and "G.S.J.W" (Sir George White, engineering support). Gnomon: engraved along style edge with musical stave and notes. Glynne-style fleur-de-lys at tip. Sides engraved with moondial offset table, (48 mins per day). "FAST’’ on E. and "SLOW" on W.
