Dial in Lancashire

Dial shows hours IV - XII - VIII, Roman numerals read from the inside, with 7½ minute divisions. The gnomon has a knife edge and has been restored by the owner (2025). The upper section of the gnomon, which was missing, is made out of the same thickness of brass. This new section is signed and dated and attached to the remaining pieces of gnomon by precise soldering. It was then patinated it to a colour which blends with the original. Engraved:- UT HORA SIC VITA, Lawrance Swarbricke, 1695, 54 (the latitude of the dial)
