BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Eddrachillies Hotel, Scourie

This four-ring armillary sphere stands in front of the hotel on a square-section column of white stone blocks, 1660 high. The hours V - XII - IIII - VII are marked by diamond-shaped insertions riveted on to the hour band. It replaces a very similar dial which was erected in 1934 by Lt Col T W Cuthbert CMG DSO, 4th Seaforth Highlanders, WW1, in memory of his sister and parents, after it had become corroded.
