BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The sundial is built into, and flush with, the southern side of the flint memorial wall marking the southern edge of the churchyard. The wall declines slightly to the east. The dial has been made with care but is not correctly delineated. It bears upright Arabic hour numerals for 6am to 6pm but laid out clockwise. It could have originally been a horizontal dial but one would have expected the hours to run from 4am to 8pm Hour lines run to a semicircle around their point of intersection. The gnomon is a solid triangular plate but it has been mounted upside down. Even if it was reversed, using the present mount points, it would be too far above the 6am-6pm line. Below the dial is a larger slab with a dedication to Douglas Wandleworth MC (1914-1999) and his wife Bridget (1910-2009). In the centre is a small cartouche which may be the badge of the King’s Shropshire Light Infantry.
