BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is mounted at the western end of the north wall of The World Garden. A rectangular frame of black painted rods holds a square U-shaped chapter ring painted light blue. The frame appears to include hour lines but these are only support spars - there are no hour lines or hour markers. The upright Roman hour numerals are attached by screws, and run from 7am to 5pm, using 0 for noon and IV for 4. The gnomon is a narrow iron bar with bolted support from another short bar towards the top of the dial. It stops short of the dial face and the root is undefined. It is mounted centrally, though the dial faces about 12° west of south.
