Dial in Clwyd Area

The dial stands on a slate-coloured metal tree sculpture on a rough square stone block. It uses Roman hour numerals from 6am to 6pm, divided to half and quarter hours, with IIII for 4 and 0 for noon. The gnomon is supportrd by a sculpted bird with opened wings. A brass sector attached to the south side of the dial plate is inscribed ’Er cof am / In memory of / George Crowther / 1934 - 2020’.
