BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

General Hospital, Darnick

This memorial sundial is located outside the chaplaincy centre in the Marlies garden. It is dedicated to Dr Marlies Eenhuizen-Graham (1976 - 2005). A small dial at the top of the west-declining plate has a simple gnomon and a shadow-receiving arc, but no hours are marked. An illustration below depicts a bird in flight with the sun behind, and a nursing figure. A Dutch inscription at the foot reads: ’Niewe horizon / licht op’ (A new horizon lights up).
