BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is shaped as a horizontal rectangle with semi-circular ends, and is mounted in the gable above the entrance to the south porch. Across the top is the motto: ’LIVE THE HOUR’, and below the gnomon root is the date ’MMVII’. The short rod gnomon springs from a small 8-rayed sun, its tip forming the nodus for equinox and solstice curves. The upright hour numerals are VI - XII - IV - VI. The furniture is either gold-leafed or gold painted.
