BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Mantley House, Newent

Mantley House was Grade II Listed in 1985. The dial is currently (as at 2011) somewhat precariously mounted on the chimneystack nearest the road. It uses upright Roman numerals VI - XII - IIII - VI, divided to half and quarter hours. There was probably an inscription across the top, but nothing remains, though the listing states that it was dated 1777, and restored in 1894. Better photographs requested.
