BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

8, Old Road, Great Tew

The dial is mounted flush into the stone south-west frontage of the cottage, at about head height, with a square arch allowed in the mortar string line dividing the storeys. No details of the furniture can be seen now, and just the stump of the gnomon (possibly of slate) remains.
