BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial stands beside the path between the car park and the bowling green. It is a garden centre type armillary sphere of three part rings, adjustable for latitude, with an arrow gnomon. It stands on a bell support on a white turned pillar with a substantial headstone, on a two-step square base, with a plaque: ’JOE FLETCHER / (1914 – 2000) / HE MADE OUR GARDENS FOR / MANY YEARS LOOK SO WONDERFUL’. The hour ring has Roman numerals for 4am to 8pm, divided to half hours.
