BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is set in the grass near the foot of the tower. The standing strip of four red paving stones is set in grey gravel. It is inscribed at the top: ’Time’, and down the sides: ’Hours for man / Eternity with God’. The hour numerals, giving BST, are on matching paving stones set in an elliptical gravel arc.
