BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Village Green, Epwell

The dial is sety in the Green, surrounded by daffodils. Small slate discs mark the hours. The largest rectangular slate is a map of the village, the two side ones give lists of contributors and the bottom one explains how it works - which is by placing a stick in the hole in the middle. More explanation requested!
