BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Parish Church, Longformacus

The dial is a cubic block with a blunt pointed top, standing on a substantial corbel at the south-west corner of the church. It has faces on the SW, SE and NE sides, and gnomons remain, possibly of slate. The SE dial has Arabic numerals and hour lines for 4am to 12 noon, though the 5am looks as if it may have been re-cut to ’3’. The church dates from 1730.
