BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Cuttice Lodge, Tollard Royal

The dial is mounted in the south gable end of the building. It is formed from linear sections of blued metal, possibly iron or steel, welded into a network of hour lines, hour numerals and lettering, with a flaming smiling half sun at the top. Below the sun is ’Tempus Fugit’. The hours are VI - XII - IV - VI, in Gothic script, divided to quarters. The whole is fitted neatly into a timber frame matching the half-timbered brick construction of the house.
