BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Cornwall

The dial is mounted in the south gable, oriented as a diamond. It is adjusted for longitude, showing Greenwich Apparent Time, with a small notch in the chapter ring to show Durgan local noon. It has hour lines for 7am to 4pm with no subdivisions, labelled in Arabic numerals from 9 to 3. In the upper section of the chapter ring is ’HEAVEN’S LIGHT FOREVER SHINES’. The date ’2019’ is in the west and east corners, a butterfly is at the top, and at the foot is ’50 6 N / 5 7 W’.
