BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Suffolk

The dial stands on an octagonal sectioned baluster style plinth with floral decoration and faces at the corners, in the gardens to the south-west of the house. It shows hours IV - XII - IIII - VIII, read from the inside, divided to 30, 10 and 5 minutes. There is a sun face at the centre, and the motto reads ’Make time, save time while time lasts. All time is no time when time is past’. The dialplate is not fixed to the plinth, and the gnomon is not securely fixed.
