BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial stands on a square-section bulbous pedestal in the Sundial Garden. It shows IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from the outside, and divided inside the chapter ring to 30 and 15 minutes, and outside to 30, 10 and 2 minutes, labelled in Arabic at 20, 40 and 60. At the centre is a 16-point compass rose, labelled to ENE etc. The solid gnomon has a curved northern edge and is held by two quarter-cylinder supports with chamfered ends. The dial is signed over three lines in the gap of the chapter ring, read from the north ’Watkins’ and ’London’, but the full wording is not easy to discern.
