BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

City Observatory, Edinburgh

The building dates from 1895 and the dial appears to be contemporary. It shows 6am to 6pm with upright Arabic numerals, with hour lines to a small semicircle around the gnomon root, and short half- and quarter-hour lines. The gnomon is damaged, the central portion of the style being curved downwards.
