BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
This east and west facing plate dial is inscribed ’Carpe’ on the afternoon side, with hour lines for 1 to 6pm, labelled only at 1, 3 and 5, and ’Diem’ on the morning side showing 6 to 11am, with just 7, 9 and 11 labelled.
