BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Broom Road, Newtom Mearns

The dial plate is a semicircle attached to the white plastered wall of the house, the gnomon being mounted above, directly into the wall. The plate has hour lines with aligned numerals X - XII - IV - VI, but strangely the vertical is between the II and the III, so this is never going to tell the time for this location. Possibly there is some other purpose.
