Pembroke College (3), Cambridge
The dial may be found in the north-west corner of the College’s garden terrace. It replaces SRN 0657, which had suffered badly from weathering. As such it commemorates James Vere Stewart Wilkinson, a well-known orientalist; Sidney Kenderdine, a noted astronomer, is now additionally honoured.
The dial was noted in 2010 not to be wearing well.
