BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Devon

The dial is sunk high into the corner between south and west stone walls, with a moulded stone header bar. The face is probably slate, with small sections missing at the corners. None of the furniture is now legible, but it is clear that there was a motto across the top, and a coat of arms fills the central section, surrounded by upright Roman hour numerals, divided to half and qaurter hours. The square bar gnomon, probably iron, is supported by a trebly curved piece to a base bar across the face.
