BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Prestbury House Hotel, Prestbury

The dial stands in the garden of the hotel. It was inscribed directly into a stone plate, of which only a small section remains. This shows Roman numerals VIII, IX, X, XI, read from the inside and divided to quarter hours, with full length hour lines. The gnomon is a solid triangular metal plate. The low octagonal section stone pedestal sits on a shaped octagonal base.
