BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

26, Leven Street, Glasgow

This small slate home-made dial is mounted between two ground-floor windows, clearly visible from the street. In the top left-hand coner are the latitude and longitude, and in the bottom right is ’BST’ . The upright Arabic hour numerals are 9 to 20, with 13 at noon. Hour lines run to a small unmarked semicircle at the base of the thin plate gnomon, and no arc is inscribed for the chapter ring.
