BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

The dial stands on a wooden pedestal in the churchyard and is inscribed at the south ’And Davies / Churchwarden / 1812’. It uses numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from the inside, with a noon gap for the substantial gnomon, and divided to quarter hours inside the chapter ring, and to five minutes on the outside.
