BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial stands in a courtyard to the south of the building which is the office of the Mayor of Winchester. It is carved in a free-standing pillar of stone, roughtly shaped. It has upright hour numerals VIII - XII - IV - VII, with hour lines to the gnomon root and no subdivisions,
