BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is in the Jubilee Rose Garden, on a round baluster pedestal and plinth, with a square capital and chamfered base. On the south side, read from the north, is ’DOLLOND * LONDON / Lat 51 19’. The dial uses numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from the outside, with a noon gap, divided to 30, 15, 10, 7.5 and 2 minutes. There is no compass rose, but an 8-point compass ring marked to NE etc.
