BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Shropshire

This simple dial is believed to have come from a local boarding school. It has numerals IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from the inside, with a noon gap, divided to 30, 15 and 5 minutes, with three dots at the half-hour points. It stands on a tapered column 1270 high and 300 dia across the top. The round base is 900 diameter by 150 thick. The gnomon is loose but its angle is 53°.
