BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is on the south wall of the Meridian Building in the Royal Observatory. It is a re-designed and corrected version of SRN 3446, which has been removed. Around the sides is inscribed ’THIS DIAL IS A RECONSTRUCTION OF THE / ORIGINAL BY / DR TADEUSZ PRZYPKOWSKI MCMLXVIII’. Across the base is ’MERIDIES MEDIA / CHRISTOPHER ST J H DANIEL Delineavit / BEN JONES Caelavit EXETER 2017’. The dial plate has an analemma curve with Roman numerals indicating the months of the year, all inscribed and inlaid with gold leaf, as is the title ’Meridies Media’. The remainder of the inscriptions are left untreated. As on the original dial, the gnomon is in the form of a 12-pointed star with a central circular hole.
