BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is in the Museum archives with restricted access. The photo shows this one broken in three pieces with flaking on the surface and the gnomon missing. There is a 32 point compass rose at the base of the gnomon marked ’E’, ’S’ and ’W’, laid out on the diagonal. The inscriptions have flaked off leaving only "Lat 55" and "...elly 1822". The hours are in Roman numerals, with four as IIII, showing 4am to 8pm in 30 and 15 minute divisions, the half hours being marked with crows feet. There is an intertwining circle design in each of the four corners of the plate. Ref: Michael Harley, www.sundials-ireland.com
