BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Lissan Parish Church, Churchtown

There is a sandstone cubic quoin stone with dials on the two exposed faces, on the south west corner at the eaves of Lissan C.o.I. Church. The direct south dial uses upright Roman numerals, the afternoon hours obscured by a downpipe. Across the top is an inscription of three lines, now illegible but the third line includes ’ THIS CHURCH ’. The direct west dial has across the bottom ’APR 1732 11", and may have had an inscription across the top. Ref: Michael Harley, www.sundials-ireland.com
