BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

A vertical stone, south west declining dial bearing across the top the inscription " BY ANDw SNODY / 1779". It tells the time from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. in hours marked by upright Roman numerals, using XII and IV. The hours are further subdivided into 30 min divisions. A heart shape is scribed around the root of the gnomon. Ref: Michael Harley, www.sundials-ireland.com
