BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial is at first-floor level in the gable end of the house. It looks like a good modern replica but the original is not known. It shows hours for 7am to 5pm in upright Roman numerals, using XII and IV, with no subdivisions. Across the top is ’J.H. 1823 E.C.’, and in the centre of the dial plate ’GEORGIVS IV / DEI GRATIA REX’. All the furniture is inscribed in black apart from a small half-sun around the gnomon root which is gilded. The gnomon is a thin grey bar with a single straight support.
