BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The dial, which is in remarkably good condition for its age, is inset in the stone wall of the house. It bears across the top the inscription ’R 1693 F’, with the R, the F and the I of 1693 all decorated implying a reference to the maker or owner ’RIF’. The sides and the base are decorated with scroll work, and inside the base is the motto ’TEMPUS LABITUR’ (Time glides away). The dial uses upright numerals IIII - XII - III, divided in a narrow chapter ring to half and quarter hours. There is a circular hole in the dial plate below the gnomon and above the XI and XII numerals, but the purpose is not clear.
