BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

York Gate Garden, Adel

The spherical dial stands on a twisted stone column. It has Roman numerals and the time is indicated by the line where the shaded side of the sphere starts. There is a long arrow piercing the sphere, but it probably does not act as a gnomon. More information and better photographs are requested. SRN 5682 at Hartland Abbey in Devon has similarities but indicates the time directly by the shadow of its gnomon.
