BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Bus shelter, Cherhill

This does not pretend to be an accurate sundial. The intention is ’to symbolise the passage of time’. The installation consists of a vertical sarsen stone inside a ’face’ of Roman numerals (up to VIII for 8pm) read from inside the area.
