BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

The Wallace Monument, Lisburn

The dial is crookedly mounted high on the south-eastern side of the monument. It is not correctly delineated for facing in this or any other direction, and looks as if it may be a temporary patch over an earlier dial incised in the stonework. It has hour lines with upright Arabic numerals for 8am to 4pm, and no subdivisions. The gnomon root is centred on a semicircle of sun rays.
