BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Gwynedd Area

This is a garden centre dial on a good octagonal section baluster-style pedestal which originally took a much larger circular plate. It stands a few metres directly outside the south door of the church. The dial shows a smiling sun facewith an 8-point compass ring labelled only to NSEW. In the chapter ring is the false date 1767, and around the circumference is the motto ’Let others tell of storms and showers - I’ll only count your sunny hours’. The hour numerals are Arabic for 4am to 8pm, divided to half, quarter and eighth hours. The gnomon is missing.
