BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Dyfed Area

This memorial dial has a six-pointed star in the centre, surrounded by 8 compass points labelled to NE etc, then the motto ’Use well these few bright but ever fleeting hours’. The chapter ring has hours IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, read from the outside, divided to 30, 15 and 7.5 minutes. The gnomon is missing. The dial sits on a substantial square stone on four square-sectioned stone pillars on a further thick square stone base, all sadly subsided to lean at an angle of 20 degrees or so.
