BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Lothian Region

The dial uses Roman numerals aligned to the hour lines, V - XII - IV, with full hour lines and quarter hour ticks in the border. Solstice and equinox lines are shown, with an extra line for St Rita’s day, 22 May. The hour lines converge towards three superposed 8-point stars.
