BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Strathclyde Region

The dial is on an outbuilding. It is delineated for BST using upright Arabic hour numerals for 6am to 5pm with hour lines and quarter-hour marks. The rod gnomon springs from an 8-pointed star superimposed on one of 16-points. It has a small ball nodus for the solstice and equinox curves, and is held by a gently curved blade support. At the top right of the plate is inscribed ’MALB 2005’; all the other furniture is gilded, as is the gnomon with its fitments.
