BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Powys

The dial is situated high on the pool house wall with a gilded bronze gnomon, and gilding and aluminising on the dial. It was designed by Sir Mark Lennox-Boyd and engraved by Fergus Wessel of stoneletters.com. At solar noon on the owner’s birthday, viz about 1pm, the tip of the long gnomon will touch the figure 12, time for a drink.
