BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Overseas Dials

This was an experimental dial to test the feasibility of constructing La Meridiana (see SRN 8167). It is a projected spot dial onto an indoor wall, delineated over several years. It has the motto ’USQUE AD OCCASUM’ because it only tells time in the late afternoon until sunset. Ref: BSS Bulletin Vol 11(iii) October 1999, pp148-151.
