BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in Oxfordshire

The dial is in the Rom HarrĂ© garden to the rear of the college. It was designed by Frank Manasek and made by Bill Nutt using red South African granite on a pedestal of ’Absolute Black’ Vermont granite. The dial is in the form of a partially opened book, with ’LINACRE’ on the spine. Hours are in Roman numerals with hour lines from a small semicircle around the gnomon root, and small half-hour dashes.
