BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Reminiscent of a two ring armillary sphere, this is in fact a horizontal dial, bearing Roman inward-facing hour numerals. The gnomon is fashioned as a piece of heavy wire, twisted in place around the meridian ring, and the dial is supported on a welded jumble of linked chain. The whole sits on a low circular sectioned pillar. Across the top of the meridian ring is ’Time reveals all things’.
