BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.
Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.
The dial is at roof level, above and between two second floor windows over the Superdrug shop. It is a white painted board with all furniture in black. Across the top is the motto ’Disce dies numerare tuos’ (Learn to number thy days). Upright numerals are used, VI - XII - IIII - V, with hour lines to a semicircle around the gnomon root, and with half hour ticks in the chapter ring.
