BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Dial in London (Greater)

The dial stands on a short square sectioned baluster pedestal. It has the motto ’Sunny Hours’ at the south side, and a sun face around the gnomon root. The hour numerals are aligned to the hour lines, read from outside, IIII - XII - IIII - VIII, with a noon gap and divided to 30, 15 and 7.5 minutes. The gnomon has an ’S’ shaped supporter but the style above the support has been bent upwards.
