BRIDOL is the British Sundial Society's Register of Fixed and Mass Dials, which gives detail and photographs of about 8000 fixed sundials and 3000 mass dials in the UK.

Some of these are in private gardens, but the majority are publicly available.

Waterstones Bookshop, Sutton

The dial is a fine 8-ring armillary sphere, mounted on a short hexagonal-sectioned tapering pillar in the pavement just outside the bookshop. The dial was dedicated to the town by the Rotary Club, and the plinth is inscribed ’Service above Self’.
